My Thoughts on Hope
Families are so precious and sometimes in our busy lives we forget
Just how much they mean to us. It is often only when we lose someone
Dear to us that we remember this. I am now at that time of life when I find
Myself on my own having already lost my Mother & Father and yes my own
Dear wife.
I am blessed with having a Son and a daughter-In-Law but no grand children, so that leaves me with a number of dear cousins who are now spread wide and far.
When I lost my own wife I reminisced looking at photos of her together with our
Bridesmaids, the youngest being my dear Cousin Hope Nelson (Nee Riley), whom I now count amongst some of my most cherished memories, as she to has now passed away. Too young by far and suffered the same incurable cause of her death as did my own wife.
Maybe one day mankind will find a cure or prevention for this cruel disease which has taken so many of our loved ones far to early from us.
Hope will be missed but will always be close to my heart and one day I believe we shall all be together throughout eternity and a Family forever!

Many a Sunday morning was spent with Hope as we watched our boys playing rugby, I remember a particular Mother’s Day, it was pouring it down but we laughed out way through it. Terry and Hope would recall childhood places. It was an honour to have known her

Hope was my confirmation sponsor over 20 years ago. She gave up her time so generously and was an inspiration. I was very lucky that we were still in touch after all those years. Even though we didn’t see each other often, knowing she was there was a comfort and I will miss her very much.
